Ruby and Ketchy's Restaurant was begun by Ruby Nicholson in 1958.She managed the business and all the cooking herself. After his retirement from Beaumont Glass Factory after 48 years of service, Ketchy joined Ruby in the business. Ketchy loved greeting customers and talking to them. Ruby and Ketchy had two sons, Leslie and Kevin, and two children from previous marriages, Doris Clise and Jim Frum.

After the death of Ruby in 1992, Jim and Kevin became co-managers of the restaurant. In February 1995, Jim became the sole manager. Following Jim's sudden death in October 1995, Doris and Jack Clise served as managers of the restaurant. Ketchy passed away in 1996 at the age of 91. The current manager is Jim's widow, Judy Frum. Les Nicholson serves in an advisory capacity.

Employees of our family restaurant have served many years. Dottie, Judy, and Debbie have been with us a combined total of over 50 years.

Many of Ruby's original recipes are still used, such as her famous homemade vegetable soup, her tasty homemade chili and her delicious meatloaf. Try them sometime. We sincerely hope you enjoy your meal!
